From Leatt, the ADV Rally 7.5 trousers with HydraDri 30K and the ADV DriTour 5.5 with 20K and AA certification. The ADV gloves range from the Rally 5.5 through the waterproof HydraDri 5.5 and 6.5 to the ventilated X-Flow 7.5. Waterproof or ventilated: the core choice

This applies to all adventure gear, and there is no product that does both well. HydraDri, Drystar, and Gore-Tex keep water out, but also trap your sweat inside. On a warm day with a lot of standing riding, you'll get wet from the inside. X-Flow and Air are highly ventilated but will be soaked through in the first rain shower. If you ride all year round and on multi-day trips, two sets of gloves are more realistic than one compromise. For jackets and trousers, a version with zip ventilation is usually the best middle ground.

What the K-value says

20K or 30K refers to the water column in millimetres. Higher means longer waterproofness under sustained rain and the pressure of wind. For light rain, 20K is sufficient; on multi-day rides through heavy rain, you'll notice the difference. Unsure about sizes? Use our size guide.
