Tools for working on your bike

On a motorcycle a torque wrench prevents more damage than any other tool. Pick a range that matches the work: 5 to 25 Nm for small bolts and panels, 20 to 100 Nm for axles and sprockets. Store it wound down to its lowest setting or the spring weakens. For lifting, the swingarm decides which stand fits: hooks, bobbins, or a central support under the engine.
