Maintenance, cleaning and chain care

The chain wears faster than anything else you can maintain yourself. Lubricate it warm after a ride rather than before, so the lube creeps between the rollers. On O and X ring chains use only products that will not attack the seals. When washing, keep pressure washers off bearings, the chain and electrical connectors. A pH neutral cleaner leaves paint, matte finishes and anodised parts alone.
