Washing and Polishing Your Motorcycle

A clean motorcycle is not just a matter of pride. Under caked-on mud, you won't see budding rust, a dirty chain wears faster, and road salt corrodes aluminum and chrome. This collection consists entirely of Muc-Off products, specializing in cleaning agents strong enough for grime yet safe for paint and seals.

The basic product is the Bike Cleaner, also available as a 500 ml concentrate that you can dilute yourself. The Foam Sprayer Set and the Pressure Washer Bundle apply the foam to allow it to soak in. For the drivetrain, there's the Drivetrain Cleaner and the biodegradable degreaser, and for stubborn tasks, the High-Pressure Quick Drying Degreaser and the insect and tar remover. The 3X and 5X Premium Brush Kits include shapes for rims, chains, engine blocks, and detailing. Individual brushes are also available: the 2-prong for between spokes, the Claw for coarse parts, the Soft Washing for paint, and the Wheel & Component.

Protecting and Maintaining

After washing comes protection. The Ceramic protection kit applies a layer to your paint, and for the chain, there's All-Weather Chain Lube for wet conditions and Dry Chain Lube for dry and dusty weather. Use the Exhaust Bung to seal your exhaust before spraying. For your gear: the Helmet Care kit, the helmet, visor, and goggle cleaner, the Anti-Fog Treatment to prevent fogging, and the antibacterial gear cleaner.

Two things to remember

Never spray directly onto wheel bearings, chain seals, or the steering head with high pressure. Water forced into these areas will wash away the grease.
