Body and chest protectors

A body protector absorbs impacts that your jacket doesn't: splashing stones, a handlebar kicking back, or a landing where your chest hits the ground. For motocross and enduro, this is standard equipment, and more and more road riders are also wearing one under their jacket. This collection consists almost entirely of Leatt products.

Chest protector or body protector?

A chest protector protects the chest and back. That's the basic protection and usually what you see on the motocross track.A body protector goes further and adds shoulder and arm protection. More coverage, slightly less freedom of movement.A body tee like the 3DF AirFit Lite Evo is a snug shirt with built-in protection, intended to be worn under your regular shirt or jacket.

The number indicates the level. 1.5 and 2.5 are the entry-level models, also available in junior sizes. 3.5 and 4.5 are in the mid-range, with Hybrid versions that connect to a neck brace. 5.5 and 6.5 are the top models, including the 6.5 Pro with graphene. The designation 3DF AirFit refers to the foam that feels soft but hardens upon impact. Comfortable for normal wear, stiff when it needs to be.

Pay attention to the combination with your neck brace

If you wear a Leatt neck brace, choose a Hybrid version. It is designed to work with the brace. A regular protector under a brace can push the brace up, preventing it from doing what it's meant to do.There are specific versions for women and juniors. Choose a junior model for children, not a small adult size: the proportions are different. All protection at WheelsWork comes through official European distributors.
