A backpack is the quickest way to carry gear without mounting anything to your motorcycle. On a motorcycle, however, it presents different demands than cycling or hiking: it shouldn't shift when accelerating and shouldn't hit your helmet when you look over your shoulder.

The EDA Everyday Adventure Backpack in black and the Studio MK3. Built for daily motorcycle use, with a cut that fits under a motorcycle jacket and straps that secure it so nothing flaps.

The Oxford Aqua B-25 in khaki with black is completely waterproof with a 25-liter capacity. The Leatt Hydration Mountain Lite 1.5 is a hydration backpack with a water reservoir, intended for enduro and off-road where you want to drink on the go without stopping.

Why a Chest Strap Matters

Without a chest and hip strap, a backpack will slide backwards when accelerating and pull on your shoulders. At higher speeds, it also catches wind. Every motorcycle backpack in this collection therefore has front attachments.

The Risk Rarely Mentioned

In a fall, a fully loaded backpack can transfer the impact to your back, or worse, press something hard into your spine. Therefore, do not carry hard or sharp objects such as tools or a laptop in your backpack without protection. For heavier or harder items, cases or saddlebags are the safer choice. For these, see Saddlebags and Motorcycle Luggage. Everything at WheelsWork comes via official European distributors.
