The Knox Aegis Back Protector is the back protector with the widest coverage in the Knox range. It is certified according to EN 1621-2:2014 at level 2, tested from minus 20 to plus 40 degrees.

The shock absorption works with an open honeycomb structure and a flexible sliding spine protector under a tough outer shell. The inner lining of spacer fabric is removable and machine washable.

If you ride with a jacket without a back protector, or if you want more coverage on the track than an insert provides, this is the heaviest separate option from Knox. Knox also states it is suitable for snowboarding, mountain biking, and skiing.

Choosing the size

The size is based on back length, measured from waist to shoulder. Measure this before you order; a protector that is too short will not cover the lower back.
