This AXP sump guard made of 8mm HDPE plastic was specially developed for the BMW R1250GS/R1250GSA model years 2019-2022. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs the impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over stones and tree trunks. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use plastic plates from AXP.
