This AXP skid plate made of HDPE plastic has been specifically developed for the KTM 450 model years 2016-2018 and the Husqvarna FE450/501 model years 2016-2023. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not permanently deform, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over rocks and logs. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use plastic plates from AXP.
