This 8mm HDPE plastic AXP skid plate was specially developed for the Yamaha Tenere 700, model years 2019-2021. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and slides smoothly over rocks and logs. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use plastic plates from AXP.
