This AXP skid plate, made of HDPE plastic, has been specially developed for the Yamaha YZ250 from 2005 onwards, the YZ250X/WR250 from 2016 onwards, and the Fantic 250/300. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs impact rather than transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over rocks and logs. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use AXP plastic plates.
