An HGS silencer for Husqvarna, KTM from 2004 to 2015.

HGS has been building exhausts for the motocross track and the forest since 1988. The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a mechanic in the Grand Prix in the 1980s, and is now in the hands of the third generation. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used worldwide by racing teams.

The silencer determines the back pressure and thus how the engine delivers its power. The internal components can be overhauled, so you replace the packing instead of the entire silencer.

A motocross exhaust is racing equipment and is not permitted on public roads. Have the installation done by someone who knows what they are doing, regularly check the gaskets and springs, and re-tighten bolts after the first ride.
