HGS has been building exhausts for the motocross track and the woods since 1988. The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a mechanic in Grand Prix racing in the 1980s, and is now in its third generation. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used worldwide by racing teams.

The silencer determines the back pressure and thus how the engine delivers its power. The internal components are rebuildable, so you replace the packing instead of the entire silencer.

A motocross exhaust is racing material and is not permitted on public roads. Have it installed by someone who knows what they're doing, check the gaskets and springs regularly, and retighten bolts after the first ride.
