HGS has been building exhausts for motocross tracks and off-road riding since 1988. The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a mechanic in Grand Prix racing in the 1980s, and is now in the hands of the third generation. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used by racing teams worldwide.

For a two-stroke engine, the exhaust pipe determines the character of the engine. HGS tailors the shape and volume to the engine block, focusing on torque that can be modulated rather than a peak that throws you off.
