The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a Grand Prix mechanic in the 1980s, and is now in its third generation of ownership. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used by racing teams worldwide.
For a two-stroke engine, the pipe determines the engine's character. HGS tailors the shape and volume to the engine block, focusing on manageable traction rather than an unmanageable power peak.
