The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a mechanic in Grand Prix racing in the 1980s, and is now in the hands of the third generation. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used worldwide by racing teams.
For a two-stroke engine, the pipe determines the character of the engine. HGS customizes the shape and volume to the engine block, focusing on manageable traction rather than an uncontrollable power surge.
