For which filter?

This oil is intended for foam filters, such as those found on motocross and enduro motorcycles. Paper filters should not be oiled as they will clog.

An oiled foam filter traps sand and dust that a dry filter would let through. For off-road use, this is the difference between an engine that lasts a long time and one that wears out quickly.

Oiling the filter

• First, wash the filter with filter cleaner and let it dry completely.
• Distribute the oil through the foam until it is evenly colored, without puddles.
• Squeeze out any excess. A dripping filter restricts airflow.
• Grease the edge of the filter to prevent dust from getting past the seal.
