This Yakk EXP skid plate has been specially developed for the BMW R1300 GS from 2023 onwards. The skid plate protects the engine block, crankcase and vulnerable lines against stones, obstacles and impacts from below. Indispensable as soon as you ride off-road and one of the first upgrades for any adventure motorcycle.
On unpaved roads and trails, the underside of your motorcycle is the most vulnerable. A flying stone or a rock on the trail directly hits your crankcase, exhaust bends or oil filter, and that means the end of your ride. This skid plate is custom-made for this model and follows the lines of the engine block, so that ground clearance is maintained. The plate is mounted on the original mounting points and is ready for immediate use after installation.
