HGS is a Dutch brand fully focused on motocross and enduro. While street brands primarily aim for sound and aesthetics, HGS focuses on power where you need it most: at low and mid-range RPMs, as that's where a motocross bike operates throughout the entire lap.

Complete System, Header Pipe, or Silencer

For off-road, you often buy parts separately, and this is intentional.The header pipe is the component that gets dented during a fall against a tree or rock. With a two-stroke, this immediately affects power because the shape of the expansion chamber dictates how the engine runs.The silencer wears out from the inside as the packing becomes clogged. You replace it or repack it periodically.A complete system offers the biggest step in performance and weight.

KTM, Husqvarna, and GasGas largely share the same engines on their motocross models. Therefore, you'll see titles like "Gas Gas MC450F / Husqvarna FC450 / KTM 450 SX-F": one system fits three brands.Furthermore, Yamaha YZ450F, Suzuki RM-Z450, Beta RR250 and RR300, Sherco SE250 and SE300, and the new Ducati 450 MX.

Carbon is lighter and more expensive, while steel is cheaper and better withstands an impact. For competitive use, every ounce counts; for recreational motocross on a track with rocks, steel is often a wiser choice.
