HGS has been building exhausts for the motocross track and the woods since 1988. The brand was founded by Henri Gorthuis, who worked as a mechanic in Grand Prix racing in the 1980s, and is now in its third generation of ownership. The exhausts are made in the Netherlands and are used worldwide by racing teams.

The muffler determines the back pressure and thus how the engine delivers its power. The internals are reconditionable, so you replace the packing instead of the entire muffler.
