This 8mm HDPE plastic AXP skid plate is specially designed for the BMW R1300GS from 2024 onwards. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs the impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over stones and tree trunks. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use plastic plates from AXP.
