This 8mm HDPE plastic AXP skid plate is specially designed for the Ducati DESERT X. This version is specifically for Hepco & Becker crash bars. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs the impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not permanently deform, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over rocks and tree trunks. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use AXP plastic plates.
