This AXP skid plate made of 8mm HDPE plastic is specially designed for the KTM 1290 SUPER ADVENTURE R/S, model year 2021-2022. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs the impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and glides smoothly over stones and tree trunks. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use AXP plastic plates.
