Putoline N-TECH® SPR lubricates the moving parts in your engine and keeps the temperature under control. Volume 15 liters.
Viscosity 5W-50. The viscosity your motorcycle requires is stated in the owner's manual and varies per model and year of manufacture.
What this oil does
Engine oil in a motorcycle does more work than in a car. In most motorcycles, the same oil lubricates the engine, gearbox, and wet clutch. This means the oil must simultaneously lubricate, cool, carry away dirt, and maintain enough grip so your clutch doesn't slip.
If you ride with oil that is too old or too little, you will first notice it by a heavier-shifting gearbox and an engine that gets warmer than normal.
What to look for when choosing
- The prescribed viscosity is in your owner's manual and varies per model and year of manufacture. Always follow that, not what fits another motorcycle.
- If your motorcycle has a wet clutch, the oil must be suitable for it. Car oil with friction-reducing additives can cause the clutch to slip.
- Check how much oil your motorcycle needs, including filter change. This often saves half a liter compared to the amount without a filter.
Changing the oil
Preferably change the oil when the engine is at operating temperature; then the oil drains more easily and carries away more dirt. Replace the sealing ring of the drain plug and tighten it to the prescribed torque. Then fill to the middle of the sight glass or between the marks on the dipstick, let the engine run briefly, and check again.
