This 8mm HDPE plastic AXP skid plate has been specially developed for the Ducati DESERT X. This version is specifically for SW-Motech crash bars. Unlike an aluminum plate, HDPE plastic absorbs the impact instead of transferring it to the frame. The material does not deform permanently, makes no noise, and slides smoothly over rocks and logs. This is precisely why top enduro and rally riders use AXP plastic plates.
