How to lubricate your chain

• First, clean the chain. Lubricating over sand will actually accelerate wear.
• Lubricate on a hand-warm chain, i.e. after a ride. The lubricant will then penetrate better.
• Spray on the inside of the chain, near the rear sprocket, while slowly rotating the wheel.
• Allow it to soak in before riding off, otherwise it will be flung off.

O-ring and X-ring

If your chain has rubber rings between the links, use a lubricant that is suitable for them. Some aggressive products can damage these rings, causing the grease to leak out of the rollers.
