How to lubricate

• First, clean the chain. Lubricating over sand actually accelerates wear.
• Lubricate a hand-warm chain, i.e., after a ride. The lubricant will then penetrate better.
• Spray the inside of the chain, near the rear sprocket, while slowly turning the wheel.
• Allow it to soak in before driving off, otherwise it will fling off.

O-ring and X-ring

If your chain has rubber rings between the links, use a lubricant suitable for them. Some aggressive agents can damage these rings, causing the grease to leak out of the rollers.
