Where to use grease

Grease stays put where oil runs off. On a motorcycle, you use it on wheel bearings, steering head bearings, swingarm pivot points, axles, and threaded rods that you want to be able to loosen later.

What to pay attention to

• First clean the surface. Applying grease over sand acts like abrasive paste.
• Use grease sparingly on nearby brake parts. Grease on a brake disc is not easily removed.
• When assembling a rear axle, a thin layer on the axle is enough to be able to loosen it later.
